Welcome, amigos! We’re so glad you’re staying with us. Here’s everything you need to settle in and enjoy your time at Sunshine Water House.
Settle in. Make yourself at home.Arriving & settling in
Your arrival
On the morning of your arrival, we’ll send the house address, your personal door PIN, and Wi-Fi details. We enjoy welcoming guests and showing them around. If you prefer self check-in, just let us know.
Your GPS may show Fort Lauderdale instead of Dania Beach. Use the address in your arrival message—you’ll recognize the house by its bright yellow front door.
Airport travel times depend on traffic. Check your route from Fort Lauderdale or Miami Airport before setting out.
Please park on the property, with a maximum of four cars. Keep the sidewalk clear to avoid towing.
Using the front door
- To unlock: Enter your four-digit PIN, then press the checkmark. You should hear “Door Unlocked.”
- To lock: Hold the checkmark for three seconds. You should hear “Door Locked.”

Wi-Fi & temperature
We’ll send the Wi-Fi information on arrival morning. You’ll also find it on the colorful table to your left as you enter.
The thermostat is on the left near the hanging fish decorations. Adjust it for your comfort, but please keep it at 65°F or above. Raise the temperature when you head out for the day.
Make yourself at home
Where to find the essentials
- Pots and pans: In the lazy Susan in the lower corner cabinet to the right of the stove.
- Fire extinguisher: In the kitchen cabinet under the sink.
- Kitchen trash can: To the right of the sink.
- Trash bags and cleaning supplies: Under the sink, including sponges, bleach, and dish soap. Let us know if something is running low.
- Outdoor bins: Beside the house near the parking area. Blue is for recycling; green is for general trash.
- Hair dryers: In both bathroom cabinets.
- Extra towels: In the hallway closet next to the bathroom.
Coffee & tea
Help yourself to the complimentary coffee and tea beside the Keurig on the kitchen counter.
- Make sure the water reservoir is filled.
- Lift the lid, insert a coffee pod, and close it.
- Place your mug beneath the spout and choose your cup size.
You can also use the milk frother. Please return the small frother wheel to the metal cup after cleaning.
Pool lights
The labeled pool-light switch is inside the timer box beside the pool equipment.
The remote hangs on the wall beside the sliding doors leading outside. Please keep it in its waterproof bag and return it to its spot when you’re finished. Contact us if you need help.
Smart TVs & streaming
All TVs are smart TVs with streaming apps. You can also cast from your phone while connected to the house Wi-Fi.
The labeled remotes are on the white floating shelves beside the TVs. Please return each one to the correct room. If you sign in to a personal streaming account, remember to sign out before leaving.
Dishwasher, laundry & barbecue
- Dishwasher: The door opens automatically when the cycle finishes—this is normal.
- Washer and dryer: In the garage. Quick Wash works well for a light load; choose a longer cycle when needed.
- Barbecue: Grilling tools are inside the barbecue cabinet. Please clean the grill after use.
A few house rules
We want you to feel at home while helping us care for the house and respect our neighbors.
- Quiet after 11 p.m. Please keep noise to a minimum, especially outdoors.
- No smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outside; use the provided ashtrays and dispose of cigarette butts.
- Wash your dishes or place them in the dishwasher after use.
- Clean the barbecue after cooking.
- Keep furniture in place. Return games and pool cues when you finish.
- Pets require prior approval. Please discuss them with us before your stay.
- Events require prior approval. Contact us before planning a wedding, graduation gathering, or other event. Disruptive gatherings and open-invite parties are not permitted, even with host approval. Unauthorized gatherings may result in the stay being ended in accordance with the booking terms and applicable requirements.
- Care for the home and its contents. Please tell us promptly about any accidental damage. Missing or damaged items may result in charges.
- Raise the A/C temperature when away. Never set it below 65°F.
Trash & recycling
Pickup days are Wednesday and Saturday. Use the outdoor bins beside the house. Put bins at the curb after 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and bring them back beside the house by 6 p.m. on collection day.
Extra cleaning & damage
Please help us avoid additional cleaning. The following fees may apply when extra cleaning is needed, subject to your booking terms and the booking platform’s process.

Additional cleaning after an approved event, or missing or damaged household items, may also result in charges through the applicable booking process.
Before you head home
Please check out by 11 a.m. so our cleaning team can prepare for the next guests.
- Wash dishes or put them in the dishwasher.
- Place bagged trash in the appropriate outdoor bins.
- Return games, pool cues, and remotes to their places.
- Leave the grill clean if you used it.
- Raise the A/C temperature and lock the front door.
